Lions Exchange Students Visit Longleat

Picture
Frome Lions Club entertained three international exchange students at Longleat on the 23rd of July. The purpose of the exchange programme is to create and foster a spirit of understanding among peoples of the world emphasising the value of sharing and community life. Many students come from all over the world and are hosted by Lions for about 10 days and spend a further 10 days at a camp. In Fromes local zone we received three students from the countries of Demark, Finland and Estonia.  They spent the day being guests of Longleat and via a Longleat passport visited many of its attractions. They particularly enjoyed seeing the animals on in the Safari Park and on the boat trip around the lake.  Frome Lions wish to thank Longleat for their continuing support of these international visits.

In the evening they enjoyed and shared a barbecue with the Frome Lions, who were hosting the Gateway Club of Frome at the annual summer barbecue with skittles and a coconut shy.  Despite the dull weather it appeared that all had a great time at Lion Jim Dowling’s farm.
