Lions raise funds and give their time freely to help those who are less fortunate. You may already be familiar with some of our activities in your community but did you know that .....

Lions are not just fund raisers - our motto is "we serve". We aim to improve the quality of life and provide help and assistance to many including blind, deaf, elderly, disabled  and people with learning difficulties. We also sponsor "Medic Alert" the emergency identification system for people with hidden conditions. Lions support people with hearing and speech problems and almost since inception we have been "Knights of the blind" in a crusade against darkness. Lions instigated the white cane in the UK and are currently involved in the largest initiative of its kind, "Campaign SightFirst II", to totaly eradicate preventable blindness worldwide.

LIONS INTERNATIONAL - The international association of Lions Clubs emcompass 1.5 million members, 42000 clubs in 175 countries.
