Summer Fete
Frome Lions held their annual Summer Fete at Frome’s Victoria Park on Saturday 14 June. A glorious sunny day brought the public out to enjoy not only the weather but the many attractions and good causes on show. The afternoon festivities were opened by Frome’s Charisma Twirlers. DJ sound was provided by Pete Dayman- Johns and music by the Frome Town Youth Band. There was much for children to enjoy – rides on the Lions club train, bouncy castle, etc. Also available were burgers, hot dogs and teas, cakes and ice cream. A coconut shy and bowling alley provided much family entertainment. The many charity and club stalls helped to make this a community event. Frome’s Carnival Queen and her attendants added elegance to the day. Money raised and will be added to the club’s Charitable Trust Account which helps local causes. It is rewarding so many smiling people enjoying the atmosphere and we wish to thank all people involved in making this event possible.
